Dougal held me by the wrist, looking me over intently.

"You’ve seen men die before," he said flatly. "By violence." Not a question, almost an accusation.

"Many of them," I said, just as flatly.

[MYTHOLOGY MEME] 4/6 Mortals - Siduri

A character in the Epic of Gilgamesh alternatively described as either a goddess of brewing, Ishtar in disguise, or a (mostly) mortal alewife, Siduri runs the tavern at the edge of the sea. When Gilgamesh comes there on his quest, she is disturbed by his ragged appearance and bars the doors against him until he explains who he is, and that he looks so terrible because he’s grieving his dear companion. He asks her if death is in his own fate as well. Wise Siduri lets him into the tavern, explaining that it is only the gods that can live forever.

As for you, Gilgamesh, let your belly be full,
Make merry day and night.
Of each day make a feast of rejoicing.
Day and night dance and play!
Let your garments be sparkling fresh,
Your head be washed; bathe in water.
Pay heed to a little one that holds on to your hand,
Let a spouse delight in your bosom.

But Gilgamesh has lost all interest in such worldly things and only wants to carry on with his journey. As he won’t be swayed, Siduri tells him what he needs to do next to continue, and what challenges he will face.

Sansa Stark + lemon cakes

Lemony lemony lemon cakes…and you can have as many as you like.

Ben Wishaw’s superpower is his hair. I’m convinced.

Sansa’s costumes have a strong presence of purple tones, suggesting a growth of her character and loss of innocence. Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red.
